HONG KONG, March 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- OutSystems, provider of the number one platform for low-code development, has appointed technology industry veteran Rosa Wong as its Hong Kong Country Manager. With this new hire, OutSystems has further strengthened its presence in Greater China and the wider Asia Pacific region.
Rosa Wong will be tasked with leading market operations in Hong Kong, and also driving business growth across the Greater China region. She will chart the strategy for market growth in Greater China (including Hong Kong), and also serve as the link between Greater China and corporate headquarters. With OutSystems' growing influence within the public and private sector, Rosa will also facilitate interaction between OutSystems and government bodies, statutory boards, partners, and customers in order to drive meaningful engagements around low-code and digital transformation. Being country manager also means that she will propel existing business growth and support business development efforts as OutSystems looks to strengthen its foothold in the Greater China region.
In the past years, OutSystems has won thousands of enterprise clients globally and hundreds of enterprise clients in the Asia Pacific market. Adding on to an APAC customer portfolio which includes Philippines conglomerate Transnational Diversified Group and Singapore urban, industrial and infrastructure consultancy Surbana Jurong, key clients in Hong Kong include Convoy Financial Services, MSIG and a leading Hong Kong based global logistics provider. With analysis firm Gartner predicting that spending on IT services in Hong Kong will hit HK$28.4 billion in 2018, there is plenty of potential for OutSystems to grow in Greater China and meet the digital transformation demands of existing and potential customers.
"We are pleased to have appointed Rosa Wong as our Hong Kong Country Manager and are looking forward to working with her to grow OutSystems in Greater China (including Hong Kong)," said Mark Weaser, Vice President, Asia Pacific, OutSystems. "We are looking to tap into Rosa's wealth of experience in the regional technology industry and are confident that she will be an invaluable resource in driving the adoption of low-code platforms by businesses in the region looking to achieve their digital transformation goals," he added.
"I am excited to be a part of OutSystems and am looking forward to working with Mark and the wider Asia Pacific team," said Rosa Wong, Country Manager, Hong Kong and Greater China, OutSystems.
