Ping An Good Doctor Launches a "One-Minute Clinic" at Expressway Service Area to Develop a New Offline Service Scenario

SHANGHAI, Jan. 29, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- China's leading one-stop healthcare ecosystem platform Ping An Health Medical Technology Company Limited ("Ping An Good Doctor", or the "Company", stock code: 01833.HK) has announced that it has stationed a "One-minute Clinic" at the Nanjing Siqiao Expressway Service Area to provide fast and convenient one-stop healthcare services to drivers and passengers. This is another new offline service scenario developed by Ping An Good Doctor following the launch of "One-minute Clinics" across enterprises, large communities and chain pharmacies.

As an integral part of Ping An Good Doctor's healthcare ecosystem, "One-minute Clinics" incorporate "AI Doctor" technology and the Company's over 1000 in-house medical team and nearly 5000 renowned external contracted doctors to provide users with self-serve medical and healthcare services including medical advice, rehabilitation guidance, drug taking advice and to-be-paid for drugs, etc.. Every one-minute clinic has more than 100 categories of common drugs, all of which are cryogenically refrigerated to ensure their quality. If a user needs a drug that isn't stored at the booth, they can purchase it online through our App and enjoy the one-hour drug delivery services provided by nearby cooperative pharmacies.

The new "One-minute Clinic" is located at the Nanjing Siqiao Expressway Service Area, an excellent nationwide service area. More than 10,000 vehicles pass through it on weekends and during holidays. In the past, when drivers or passengers fell ill during their journey, there was no convenient place for them to stop and consult a doctor due to a lack of medical service institutions on expressways. Since the "One-minute Clinic" was launched at the service area, it has effectively met the primary medical and healthcare needs of drivers and passengers. The number of average daily consultations continues to rise.

Mr. Wang, a driver who used the "One-minute Clinic", said, "I got sick as the weather is starting to turn cold. Initially I wanted to buy drugs at a pharmacy when I arrived at Nanjing, but then I came across the 'One-minute Clinic' and I tried it. The online doctor is very thorough, and they asked if I was on any medication and if I have any history of allergies. Based on the diagnosis and medication advice provided by the online doctor, I purchased the drugs directly online at the 'One-minute Clinic'. It is very convenient, and I hope such services can be popularized in the community in future."

A Ping An Good Doctor spokesperson said that people often ignore the fact that a cold, cough and other minor diseases pose a risk to drivers and road safety. The "One-minute Clinics" of Ping An Good Doctor have prescribed common drugs for specific needs of drivers and passengers, such as anti-motion sickness drugs, fever cooling pads, essential oil, anti-diarrheal drugs and so on. In response to the significant increase in traffic volume during the Chinese New Year, the spokesperson also said that the "One-minute Clinics" will increase the number of drugs each one stores to meet the medical and healthcare needs of users.

"One-minute Clinics" are suitable for crowded places due to their unique advantages such as small occupancy area, efficient and accurate consultations and ready-to-buy commonly used drugs. Therefore, expressway service areas have huge potential for offline service scenario. The Nanjing Highway Bureau regards the "One-minute Clinic" as an innovative attempt to integrate technology and smart service areas, and it plans to set up similar clinics at all of its 26 service areas and 52 stations.

At present, the "One-minute Clinics" are already installed in 8 provinces and cities in China where they have effectively compensated for the regional shortage of primary medical resources. In the future, Ping An Good Doctor's "One-minute Clinics" will be popularized in public venues such as shopping malls, airports and railway stations. Together with Ping An Good Doctor's offline network of 3,100 hospitals and more than 60,000 primary community clinics, this creates a one kilometer medical service circle, and quickly satisfies the real time medical and healthcare needs of city residents.
