Short Video App "Cheez" Partners With Viral Rapper Q Money To Launch Dance Challenge

Fans will be able to perform Q Money's song, "Work" for a Chance to Win $5000 Cash and $2000 of Popular Demand Merchandise

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Live.me Inc., the developer of live broadcasting platform Live.me and new short video app Cheez, announced its partnership with musical artist Q Money and the integration of his hit single, "Work" into the Cheez app. The partnership introduces the viral #QMoneyChallenge to the Cheez community in a unique way, with the developers generating an animated version of Q Money performing "Work" as part of the app's Dance Off feature.

This is the first direct artist partnership for Cheez, which included motion capturing Q Money at live.me Inc.'s new Spotlight Studio in West Hollywood in order to bring his song and dance to life on phones everywhere. Cheez will be adding more Dance Off songs at a rapid pace going forward, highlighting rising artists and exposing users to the next musical hits first.

Q Money is a Cleveland native who recently gained wide notoriety from his viral hit "Work," the video of which garnered almost 2 million views in less than a month. Q Money has the makings of hip hop's next superstar, being featured in Complex's coveted "Artist to Watch" roundup, backed by a charismatic personality and trending dance moves.

Users can join the #QMoneyChallenge by downloading Cheez from the app store and submitting their videos to the #QMoneyChallenge for a chance to win $5000 cash, plus $2000 worth of clothing from LA based clothing brand, Popular Demand. Users can also share the content to all social media platforms tagged with the contest hashtag.

"I love dancing and I love my fans," said Q Money. "So this is super exciting to get to interact with them with this #QMoneyChallenge contest. Pushing music through Cheez has never been done before and it's on the come up -- just like me."

"We're having a lot of fun creating different features for Cheez that allow us to develop unique partnerships like the one we have with Q Money. It's great working with an artist who is so excited about new technology, and isn't afraid to experiment and create unique experience to their fans," said Khudor Annous, Head of Marketing and Partnerships for Live.me Inc. "The Dance Off feature in Cheez has been a huge hit and users are going to love seeing some of the surprises we have planned for them in the future."

About Popular Demand

Popular Demand offers no apologies for its ambitious approach. When founder Blake Ricciardi started the brand in 2012, he had reached a point where he was nearly out of opportunities - that's when he made the decision to risk it all. With no investors - just a mere couple of credit cards - and only 4 t-shirt designs, Popular Demand debuted with zero fanfare. The bold, rule-breaking mentality the brand was built on helped changed that quickly. In under 36 months, the independently-owned brand catapulted from that handful of t-shirts to a full collection of headwear, tops, outerwear, bottoms, and accessories being carried in hundreds of stores worldwide and being featured in many music videos and TV shows. It has been and continues to be worn by world champion athletes, platinum selling music artists, high profile models, and industry moguls. The brand's aesthetic, product, and mentality remain true to its roots - bold, loud, and living with No Apologies.
