Award highlights Sogou's AI-powered portable translation devices
BEIJING, Feb. 26, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Sogou Inc. (NYSE: SOGO) ("Sogou" or "the Company"), an innovator in search and a leader in China's internet industry, announced that it has been named one of Fast Company's 2019 Most Innovative Companies, an award which recognizes organizations that are transforming their industries and broader society.
Fast Company selected Sogou as one of the most innovative companies in China due to the company's AI-powered portable translation devices that feature industry-leading image and speech recognition capabilities, as well as the ability to operate offline and simultaneously translate speech into different languages. In addition, Fast Company noted that Sogou's smart translation devices have tapped into significant consumer demand, as evidenced by the Sogou Travel Translator selling out on the day of its launch with sales exceeding $1.6 million.
