Specialty Chemical Company China XD Plastics Regains Compliance With NASDAQ Independent Director Requirement

HARBIN, China, Jan. 10, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- China XD Plastics Company Limited (NASDAQ: CXDC) ("China XD Plastics" or the "Company"), one of China's leading specialty chemical companies engaged in the development, manufacture and sale of polymer composite materials primarily for automotive applications, today announced that it has received the formal notification from the Listing Qualifications Department of The NASDAQ Stock Market ("NASDAQ"), informing the Company that it has regained compliance with Listing Rule 5605 (the "Rule"), the independent director requirement for continued listing on The NASDAQ Stock Market, with the appointment of two independent directors, Guanbao Huang and Huiyi Chen.

On January 2, 2020, NASDAQ notified the Company that it did not comply with the independent director requirement for continued listing on The Nasdaq Stock Market, as set forth in Listing Rule 5605. The Rule requires that a majority of the directors comprising the Company's Board of Directors must be considered "independent," as defined under the Rule. On January 9, 2020, NASDAQ confirmed that the Company complies with the Rule and that the matter is now closed.
