Taiwan East Rift Valley National Scenic Area Administration Tours in Japan to Showcase the Beauty of East Taiwan

HUALIEN, Taiwan and TAITUNG, Taiwan, March 14, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- To attract domestic and foreign tourists to experience the wonder of East Taiwan (or "Huadong"), the East Rift Valley National Scenic Area Administration, Taiwan Tourism Bureau has launched the "2018-2019 East Taiwan Industry Counseling and Exhibition Marketing Project" last year to promote the culture, industries and beauty of the East Rift Valley National Scenic Area (or "Huadong Rift Valley") to the world. This year, the promotion tour went to Osaka and Fukuoka from March 8-12, 2019.

The tour, known as "The 2019 West Japan Regional Tourism Promotion Activity", was led by the Taiwan Tourism Bureau. Members of the Taiwan Tourism Bureau and individuals selected by the East Rift Valley National Scenic Area Administration, including representatives from Lixuan International Hotel, Fenglin Sanli Ice Cream, and Luye CuiDie Park Workshop have all attended the Osaka regional tourism promotion seminar, and had many one-on-one business meetings at the Osaka Conrad Hotel on March 8.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Osaka Office of the Taiwan Tourism Bureau, the Taiwan Tourism Association and the Osaka Office of the Taiwan Tourism Bureau have jointly organized tourism promotion activities for the first time to the general public so as to attract more participants. In particular, the East Rift Valley National Scenic Area Administration has prepared a lot of promotion materials and exquisite gifts of the Huadong Rift Valley. The promotion group has received amazing feedback on the first day.

After the Osaka promotion, the group has gone to the Fukuoka area and held several activities, including sightseeing promotion roadshow, tourism promotion seminar, business forum, and a conference at the Fukuoka Tenjin Sky Hall West Japan Press Center and Hyatt hotel.

Mr. Zhou Yong-Hui, Director of the Taiwan Tourism Bureau, said the Bureau has paid great emphasis on international marketing with plans to improve the tourism industry in Huadong. The tour in Japan was to promote local industries from the Huadong area and expand its tourist base. The group is delighted to be able to contact more excellent Japanese businesses and people who are interested in Huadong. It is hoped that more business opportunities will be created as the event continues.

Moving forward, the East Rift Valley National Scenic Area Administration will be organizing promotion tours in South Korea, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia and will participate in international travel exhibitions to enhance its presence worldwide.
