The first Phoenix Exhibitions Economic Forum invited a number of experts, including Ms. E Zhihuan, PhD, Chief Economist of Bank of China (Hong Kong) and Director of Chinese Financial Association of Hong Kong, Mr. WONG John CW, Tax Partner and China & Hong Kong Leader in Private Client Services of PwC, Mr. DENG Benjamin, Group Chief Investment Officer of China Pacific Insurance (Group) Ltd., Mr. SUN Mingchun, PhD, Chairman and CIO of Deepwater Capital Limited and Vice Chairman of Chinese Financial Association of Hong Kong attended the forum to discuss several important issues, including "Family Wealth Management Story", "How the Latest Situation of the Sino-US Trade Affects Investment", "Insurance Investment Strategy and Risk Management", and "Global Investment Situation Analysis".

"The Sino-US trade issue is one of the uncertainties in the current financial market. The agreement between China and the US trade will benefit the global economy and trade growth," said Ms. E Zhihuan, PhD, Chief Economist of Bank of China (Hong Kong) and Director of Chinese Financial Association of Hong Kong.

Mr. DENG Benjamin, Group Chief Investment Officer of China Pacific Insurance (Group) Ltd., emphasized: "Compliance with laws is the basic principle of practicing business. The strategic asset allocation and reasonable liability cost management through the cycle are the most effective management tools for long-term asset-liability matching risks. The credit default risk is an extremely expensive 'one-way ticket'. Short-term market volatility is not the focus, but long-term operating income is the core. Derivatives can be an effective risk management tool with sufficient management capabilities and controllable costs."
