Unilever Enters into New Strategic Co-operation with Alibaba

Truliva (Qinyuan) is landed as the core brand to realize the projects

HANGZHOU, China , March 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Recently, Unilever signed a strategic agreement with Alibaba (China) Co., Ltd. in Hangzhou to enhance comprehensive collaboration in China and worldwide. According to the agreement, Truliva (renewed brand name for Qinyuan) as the water purification brand under Unilever, for the first time will be the core brand to land the projects in China. Truliva will partner with Alibaba to jointly explore the co-operation possibilities in the areas of new retail business development, new technology application and new business model exploration, aiming to providing safe drinking solutions to more local consumers through sustainable development of purification market. This also serves as the milestone step for overall co-operation between Unilever and Alibaba across the world. Frank Qu, Vice President of Unilever Home Care North Asia, CEO of Qinyuan Group and Yin Jing, President Of Tmall Consumer Electronics, Home & IoT Business Group signed the agreement. Mr. Kees Kruythoff, Global President of Unilever Home Care, Mr. Rohit Jawa, President of Unilever North Asia and Mr. Vishal Bhola, Global VP of Water Purification participated in and witnessed the signing ceremony.
