This CMS license has come at an opportune time for Validus, as limited access to financing has emerged as one of the top challenges faced by SMEs in Singapore. The newly acquired CMS license now allows Validus to offer underserved SMEs a whole suite of financing products, including project financing and working capital loans.

Ajit Raikar, CEO and Co-Founder, Validus Capital, said, "We are delighted to obtain the much anticipated CMS license as it will allow us to forge ahead with a wide range of products to help SMEs scale and grow their businesses. We have been working diligently in the last year to ensure that our processes are robust enough to meet MAS' guidelines. Fintech is an area of focus for Singapore which is clearly demonstrated in the forward looking vision of the authorities. We are the #1 curated financing marketplace in Singapore and are committed to contributing to a robust SME ecosystem and matching them with our expanding investor base. Through our unique relationship with VISA International and our tie up with EQ insurance offering investors credit insurance on loans made through the platform, we are transforming SME debt from an alternate to a primary asset class."

Singapore has been one of the top Fintech hubs in the world and the Monetary Authority of Singapore ( MAS ) has been supporting fintech innovation in a safe and controlled environment. This demonstrates MAS's commitment towards the transformation of Singapore into a Smart Financial Centre," Says Ajit Raikar, CEO, Validus Capital.
