Collaboration signed for SEA Games safety

The world's largest body for safety professionals has signed a collaboration to build up a safety culture for the 2015 South-east Asian Games to be held here.

The UK-based Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) signed the pledge via live video link with the Singapore South-east Asian Games Organising Committee (Singsoc) on Wednesday.

"The safety and the well-being of athletes, spectators and our workforce will be of paramount importance to the success of the 2015 South-east Asian Games in Singapore," Singsoc exco member Lai Chin Kwang said.

"Through this collaboration with IOSH, which was involved in planning for the London Olympics, we will be able to learn and share valuable good safety practices and procedures as we prepare for the Games."
