Tech companies like Google, Yahoo and Facebook have long been featured in the news for having unique offices that most people can only dream of having, with perks such as free gourmet food, game areas, libraries - even free massages.

But did you know that these companies also have quirky traditions when they hire people too?

According to Business Insider, this includes one CEO taking the new hire for a walk, employees getting a free computer - with the caveat that he/she has to set it up themselves, or wearing colourful beanies.
