Google CEO: I will 'drop everything' to tackle burger emoji issue

The internet is never short of debates and controversies.

Even Google chief executive Sundar Pichai wanted in on the latest discussion that involved, well, an emoji.

And it's not just any emoji - the burger emoji.

It all started when writer and media analyst Thomas Baekdal pointed out the difference in how Google's burger emoji differed from Apple's.

In what seems akin to the classic chicken-and-egg question, Twitter users started offering their two cents on what should come first: cheese or meat?

"I think we need to have a discussion about how Google's burger emoji is placing the cheese underneath the burger, while Apple puts it on top," Baekdal tweeted.

"Obviously, cheese must be on top of meat," one Twitter user responded.

It's safe to say that Baekdal's tweet went viral enough for Google's CEO to sit up and issue a response.

He assured concerned netizens that he would "drop everything" to address the pressing issue. At press time, nothing has been done.

But we'll wait.

Meanwhile, Twitter - as usual - exploded with hilarious reactions to this recent online discussion.

Here are some of the best ones:
