M1 launches Singapore's 1st nationwide 4G+ network

SINGAPORE - M1 mobile customers with devices that support the Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE-A) or 4G+ technology are now able to enjoy faster download speeds of up to 300Mbps, twice as fast as current speeds.

The telco is the first to roll out the LTE-A, or 4G+, network nationwide. StarHub and SingTel are currently offering the speed boost in selected locations.

Users will not be charged for the faster speeds, with which they can experience little or no lag when streaming videos.

M1's chief operating officer Patrick Scodeller said in a statement: "We continually invest in our networks to ensure our customers consistently enjoy a better experience with us."
