GAMING CONSOLE

PlayStation 4 Batman: Arkham Knight Limited Edition $649; available on June 24

Batman fans, try not to drool. This limited-edition Batman: Arkham Knight Sony PlayStation 4 (PS4) console has a specially designed sleek steel-grey chassis with a Batman silhouette on its faceplate.

It even comes with a matching steel-grey PS4 wireless controller for double awesomeness.

The same bundle includes the new Batman: Arkham Knight game that comes with a steel book, its downloadable content pack, a PlayStation Plus 12-month subscription and a PS4 one-year extended warranty. You can pre-order this bundle at any authorised reseller or Sony store.

LIGHTNING CABLE

Energea Alu Blaze LED Lightning Cable $34.90

Energea's new Alu Blaze LED Lightning Cable has four LED lights near the Lightning connector that "run" when charging. When your Apple device is fully charged, all the lights stay lit. The speed of the running lights indicates the speed of charging.

With aluminium ends and a tangle-resistant nylon cable, the 1.2m-long Energea Alu Blaze should be more durable than most such cables. It is available in space-grey and gold.

SCANNER

Canon ImageFormula DR-C240 $1,800

Smartphones may come in useful when taking a photo of a single-page document, but not when a document is as long as 60 pages.

Enter Canon's new ImageFormula DR-C240 desktop scanner. With its 60-sheet automatic document feeder, it handles double-sided scanning - up to 45 monochrome pages a minute, or 30 colour pages a minute, and 4,000 scans a day.

It can handle documents in a variety of sizes in different batches, so pre-sorting is not necessary. It can even scan an item using different modes in one pass. For example, a document can be scanned in colour and monochrome at the same time.

HEADPHONES

Creative Draco HS880 Gaming Headset $79

Gamers looking for a pair of headphones might want to try the new Creative Draco HS880 Gaming Headset.

The H880 has a large neodymium driver in each full-sized circumaural earcup. Creative says the set is capable of producing realistic gaming audio and explosive bass. A detachable noise-cancelling microphone ensures commands can be heard loud and clear in the middle of an online battle.

Remove the microphone and you get a pair of street headphones. Its flexible swivelling earcups can be folded for easy storage.

ACCESSORY

Tory Burch for Fitbit Flex Fret Double-Wrap Bracelet $310; available only at the Tory Burch boutique at Wisma Atria

If you wear a Fitbit Flex ($129) fitness tracker, Tory Burch has a bracelet to add a touch of style to your constant companion.

The Tory Burch for Fitbit Flex Fret Double-Wrap Bracelet features a smooth leather strap and metal detailing of Tory Burch's iconic design on its stainless steel surface.

The bracelet uses a secure, easy-access tang buckle on the back, so you can wear the Flex comfortably while maintaining its sophisticated look. Now, you can keep fit and stay stylish at the same time.

EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE

Sony SL-BG1/SL-BG2 SSD From $199; available next month

Solid-state drives (SSDs) are faster and more reliable than conventional hard drives because SSDs have no moving parts. However, external SSD hard drives have been hard to find, until now with Sony's SL-BG1 (128GB) and SL-BG2 (256GB).

These USB 3.0 external SSD hard drives have a credit card-sized footprint, weigh only 35g and are a mere 9.4mm thick.

With a brushed aluminium exterior in silver or black, they not only look good, but also impress with their fast transfer speed of up to 450MB per second.
