StarHub prepaid customers can now use existing mobile data bundle in Malaysia

SINGAPORE - StarHub will allow its mobile prepaid customers travelling to Malaysia go online without incurring data roaming costs.

StarHub Happy Prepaid customers can now use their existing prepaid data bundle in Malaysia with no additional fee for activation or subscription.

According to a statement from the company, a unique feature is that these customers can data roam on any mobile network in Malaysia without the hassle of manually selecting a partner network.

"We are excited to launch our new cross border service, offering our prepaid customers unparalleled convenience and complete peace-of-mind while data roaming in Malaysia," said Mr Tian Ung Ping, Assistant Vice President of Mobile Prepaid Business, StarHub. Activating the service is free of charge. Existing StarHub Happy Prepaid customers can dial *123*5*2# on their phone to enable data roaming.

Customers can thereafter top up their data bundle and track their usual data usage by dialing *123# or using the StarHub Happy Prepaid Android or iOS app.
