Twitter 'edit' button not a top priority, says executive

If there is one thing that Twitter users have long wanted from the social media platform, it is an edit button.

Currently, the users are unable to edit their tweets and have the option of either deleting the tweet or living with their mistake-riddled content.

The lack of ability to fix their tweets has been the subject of many memes and tweets peppered with misspelled words.

According to Tech Crunch, adding the much-requested edit button is currently not on the top of Twitter's must-do list.

At a press conference in San Francisco to introduce the company's latest features, Twitter product lead Kayvon Beykpour was reportedly saying that Twitter may add an edit button, but not any time soon.

"Honestly, it's a feature that I think we should build at some point, but it's not anywhere near the top of our priorities. That's the honest answer," the article quotes him as saying.

He reportedly added that the company will eventually address user needs like "correcting a typo or clarifying what they meant to say".

Guess we just have to wait a bit longer now ...
