#GivingTuesday is a global movement to celebrate giving and inspire people to improve their local communities and give back in better ways, using social media platforms.
#GivingTuesdaySG launches two new campaigns: Eat2Give, an initiative for food-andbeverage outlets to pledge sales proceeds of a particular menu item on Tuesday to a charity of their choice - go to the website for the full list of 74 partners.
Give It Up Tuesday aims to encourage consumers to give up a daily expenditure that is not necessary and donate the money to a charity.
Dec 2 also marks a "day of giving" for the worldwide campaign, with local events including a Flash Sale by Love Bonito, with 20 per cent of proceeds going to the UN Women Foundation.
Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is giving away free small-sized beverages to customers who like its Facebook page, and customer donations going to Singapore Children's Society; and from now till Tuesday, Strictly Pancakes will serve a Blueberry Pancake specially created for Eat2Give, with half of the proceeds going to AG Home.
