MALAYSIA - While many Malaysians took long breaks over the Hari Raya holidays, three local actresses have been hard at work.

According to Berita Harian, Raja Ilya, Hanis Zalikha and Mardiana Alwi were working during Syawal.

Dahlia actress Raja Ilya, whose real name is Raja Ramliah Bergum Raja Mohamad, 27, could not go back to her hometown in Ipoh on the first day of Aidilfitri due to work commitments.

Similarly, Gangster Celup actress Hanis Zalikha, 23, was tied to her commitment with an AirAsia X travelogue.

She went back to work on the third day of Hari Raya to handle the travel show Mad Markets, in which she had to fly to Indonesia and Taiwan.

Mardiana, 25, set aside only a week to celebrate the holidays with her family, and quickly rushed back to work after her break.

She said family time was important to her.

"If I don't make Raya cakes and rendang with my mother, then I'd feel my Hari Raya is not complete."
