30,000 tickets to Jay Chou's Singapore concert sold in 2 hours

SINGAPORE - 30,000 tickets to Jay Chou's Sept 3 concert here were snapped up within two hours today (Feb 24), Lianhe Wanbao reported.
Category 1 tickets worth $338 were sold out half an hour after counters opened at 10am. Tickets for the other five categories (from $118 to $288) are also left with limited quantities.
Wanbao noted that tickets were placed on sale in online marketplace Carousell as early as two weeks ago, at inflated prices of around $1,000 for a pair. At about 11am today, one user asked for $1,800 for a pair - nearly triple the original price of a pair of Cat 1 tickets.
"The Invincible" Jay Chou Concert Tour 2016 is the Mandopop king's first since he got married and became a father last year. The tour will kick off in Shanghai on July 1.
