AsiaOne on air: This Saturday sees summer fun with local and Brit party collaborations

The best parties this weekend seem to all fall on Saturday. And there's a bit of a UK and Singapore collaborative theme going on too.

First up, to celebrate the height of British summer, or at least feel at one with it since it's just as hot or hotter here, start your Saturday evening at Oxwell & Co on Ann Siang Hill.

They're having a one-night-only pop up called the Great Singapore Summer Party.

Selected drinks, meaning gin and Pimms, are going for $15++ all night from 6pm.

Then, head to Canvas at The Riverwalk for a Sweet Summer Sweat Fest.

There will be a showcase of the finest new Malaysian and UK hip hop and R&B acts together with some Singapore-based grime thrown in there.

Cover is $25 on the door with one drink.

And you can check out a collaboration between UK and Singapore collective at Esplanade's Annexe Studio.

It's a night called The Reflex where the beats are groovy and the funk is thick.

Cover is $20 after 11.30pm, free before.

If you don't know, now you know.

To catch Simi the Party Girl, listen to her on OneFM's #1 Breakfast Show with Glenn Ong and The Flying Dutchman on Thursday mornings.
