Australian actress Margot Robble's beauty is her bane

Australian actress Margot Robble's beauty is her bane

For Australian actress Margot Robbie, her curves seem to be the bane of her existence.

The farm girl is better known as the bombshell who seduced Leonardo DiCaprio in The Wolf Of Wall Street (2013).

She did a great job for that breakout performance, earning praises from DiCaprio and director Martin Scorsese.

But that was quickly overshadowed by tales of her being DiCaprio's new paramour, when tabloids latched on to her closeness to her leading man.

Robbie refuted those rumours, but she then got labelled a home-wrecker.

Racy pictures of Robbie, 24, and Hollywood star Will Smith in a photo booth became front-page news of Star magazine, and headlines about Smith cheating on his wife of 15 years, actress Jada Pinkett-Smith, appeared everywhere.

But the two were simply goofing off on the set of their new movie Focus.

The crime comedy, opening here on Feb 26, sees Robbie as small-time grifter Jess, who wants to be in the big league and goes under the tutelage of the experienced Nicky (Smith).

She is so irresistible that she throws the conman off his game and he chooses to break up with her. Years later, Jess re-enters his life, now a bona fide femme fatale and working the same billion-dollar scam but from opposing sides.

So while Robbie thinks being tabloid fodder is frivolous - she vented her frustrations following the cheating scandal on Twitter - she's not going to be rid of it anytime soon.

Robbie, who's said to be dating Tom Ackerley, her assistant director for indie romance Suite Française, is tangled in yet another delicious hook-up - with her Tarzan co-star Alexander Skarsgård.

COSY

Daily Mail reported that the pair got cosy during an evening of bar-hopping at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah.

She hasn't commented on the rumours, but if she's trying to emulate her role model Cate Blanchett, who has a great career without having to deal with the paparazzi, she has a long way to go.

In our books, Robbie need not bother her pretty head over it just yet - at least while she still gets high-profile work.

She already has DC Comics blockbuster Suicide Squad in the bag, where she'll be playing sexy supervillain Harley Quinn come next year.

And if there's any romantic rekindling or flirting of any sorts with Smith again - he's also in Suicide Squad - that's just more juicy news for us to digest. For Australian actress Margot Robbie, her curves seem to be the bane of her existence.
