Beerfest Asia 2017 debuts new beers, workshops, well-known local DJs and beer yoga

Beer and fun-time lovers, get your energy levels up! Beerfest Asia is back from Aug 17 to 20, 2017 at Marina Bay Cruise Centre.

Asia's largest beer festival returns for its ninth edition with over 100 new beer labels debuting at the festival as well as the inaugural debut of hands-on beer workshops, a line-up of more than 30 live acts across different music genres, and the introduction of Singapore's largest outdoor Beer Yoga session.

Lots to look forward to. But first, the beer.

The part air-conditioned 8,000 square feet space will feature new labels such as Krušovice Imperial, Erdinger Sommerweis, Pressure Drop Wu Gang Chops The Tree, and Guinness Bright as well as home ground brews like Archipelago Brewery, The 1925 Brewing Co., and Brewlander & Co.

For the first time ever, Beerfest Asia 2017 will be having daily beer workshops across the four days with different brew masters and brand ambassadors guiding beer lovers on the nuances of different types of brews.

For the party people, here's the music menu.

This year's entertainment programme will see live performances by tribute bands of Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, and Guns N' Roses as well as local favourites Reverie Acoustic, The Day Trippers, SweatShop Jam, and Supersonic.

Curated by Timbre Group, the festival stage will serve as a platform for up-and-coming local musicians to take the stage with original compositions.

Fans looking for refreshing new music can look forward to Deadbeat with a high energy 'drumDJ' set layering a live drum performance with an eclectic cross-genre mash-up.

As evening beckons, Singapore's finest DJs from local establishments will be on decks.

Through the four days, Brendon P, Haan, KFC, Shigeki, Stephen Day, and Zig Zach will spin while all-female DJs from Altra Mgmt will offer a wide selection of crowd favourites.

With beer and party jams complete, to fuel your energy, food will be provided by Food Handle Bar, Kontiki, The 1925 Brewing Co., and Little Part 1 Cafe.

And for those who like to mix-and-match their fitness with beer, you're not left out in the activities.

Yogis in need of an alternative weekend yoga fix can look forward to Singapore's largest outdoor Beer Yoga session.

Led by chief instructor Dawn Sim from Trium Fitness, yoga lovers can indulge in a novel experience incorporating the beer bottle into a flow of yoga poses along with the pleasures of beer drinking on Sunday, Aug 20, at 6pm.

And for those with good aim, there will be beer pong.

Tickets for Beerfest Asia 2017 are on sale and can be purchased here. Each ticket includes one complimentary welcome beer to be redeemed on festival grounds. VIP packages are available that include free flow beer, access to VIP-only areas, express entry at festival gates, and complimentary VIP Kit including a festival shirt.
