The star-packed 2019 Billboard Music Awards ceremony was held at the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Wednesday, May 1.
The annual occasion is known for honouring a huge range of acts from different music genres - and the many celebrities who parade on the red carpet dressed in glamorous, and sometimes outrageous, styles.
This year's highlights included the seven members of K-pop boy band BTS - winner of the awards for top duo/group and top social artist - who all came dressed in matching Alexander McQueen suits. English actress Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark in HBO's hit fantasy drama television series, Game of Thrones, channelled powerful femininity in a Louis Vuitton jumpsuit.
Check out our pick of the night's biggest style hits and misses.
THE WACKIEST ONES …
American rapper Cardi B once again challenged red-carpet norms - by dressing like a belly dancer.
Although we really adore her musical talent, we are not a fan of this fashion experiment.
The hostess of the ceremony, singer Kelly Clarkson, covered herself up too much. The outfit's high-slit and her jazzy Christian Louboutin shoes weren't enough to save her look.
Singer Halsey showed up in an electric blue gown. The combination of the hard fabric and the soft black lace was not flattering at all, especially with her burlesque matching lip colour.
Although the green-yellow outfit chosen by American singer Tori Kelly was certainly eye-popping, her all-covering ensemble was not enough to attract the red-carpet photographers.
THE BEST DRESSED …
Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner looked powerful in a floral jumpsuit by Louis Vuitton - Sansa rules!
Taylor Swift looked fresh in a lilac ruffled RaisaVanessa mini dress paired with Casadei heels.
The members of BTS certainly looked dapper in matching Alexander McQueen suits.
We have to say singer Ciara's son, Future Zahir Wilburn, was one of the most stylish males of the night, dressed in Versace. Ciara opted for a simple yet forceful black gown by Stephane Rolland featuring a plunging sheer neckline and an oversized floral adornment.
Indian actress Priyanka Chopra hit the red carpet in a gorgeous white glittery Zuhair Murad haute couture gown and Tiffany & Co. jewellery, with sandals - surprisingly - from Kane West's streetwear brand, Yeezy.
Her husband, American musician Nick Jonas, looked more casual in his Missoni plaid suit.
Nick's brother, Kevin Jonas and his wife Danielle, showed up looking glamorous, too.
Kevin, like his brother, also wore a Missoni suit, while Danielle chose a black sequinned, high-slit dress.
One of our favourite outfits at this year's event was American rapper Saweetie's Oriental-style, double-slit gown.
American DJ, record producer, actress and model Chantel Jeffries channelled space-age fashion in her silver sequinned jumpsuit and nude Loriblu shoes.
Actress Olivia Wilde looked fabulous in a gold lame Ralph Lauren dress paired with Giuseppe Zanotti platform heels.
American actress Eva Longoria seemed to be the spokesperson for dressing tall, like a supermodel, at the awards, despite her short stature. In an Alberta Ferretti structural dress and Gianvito Rossi fish-toe heels, she showed off her gorgeous tan.
Singer Sofia Carson looked elegant in a ruffled lavender Giambattista Valli haute couture gown.
Canadian musician David Foster's daughters, Erin and Sara Foster, appeared on the red carpet in contrasting black and white outfits.
Erin charmed in an off-the-shoulder little black dress, while Sara showed off her killer abs in a white ensemble.
Internet celebrity James Charles interpreted the androgynous look in a matching black tux and white sneakers.
Canadian actress Cobie Smulders sparkled in a silver sequinned mini dress by Vietnamese fashion designer Nguyen Cong Tri.
