Captain America: Civil War tour - thousands scream their support for "Team Cap" at MBS

SINGAPORE - Iron Man would be so jealous.

Thousands of Marvel Comics and movie fans crowded all four floors of Marina Bay Sands' shopping mall on Thursday night (April 21) to catch a glimpse of Hollywood heart-throb Chris Evans and his Captain America: Civil War co-stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan.

Queues for the best positions formed as early as 8am in the morning.

Evans, who plays the titular superhero Captain America, Mackie (Falcon) and Stan (Bucky Barnes), as well as co-director of their new movie Joe Russo, strolled down the blue carpet to deafening screams around the skating rink, gamely taking selfies with fans and signing autographs along the way.

These cast members came to Singapore to garner support for the movie on behalf of what is known as Team Captain America against Team Iron Man.

In the upcoming film Civil War, which opens in Singapore on April 28, the two teams of Marvel superheroes fight each other due to differing opinions - Captain America believes that superheroes should work without regulation, while Iron Man supports government supervision.

On stage at MBS, the three Team Cap stars worked their charm as they interacted with some lucky fans as well as special needs children. Stan picked up a particularly star-struck 11-year-old boy and gave him a massive hug to show what a "brotherly hug" looks and feels like.

Evans, rocking his bulging biceps in a tight white tee, generated the most screams when he said that he loved Singapore as much as the people here loved him.

Smooth, Captain, very smooth.
