Chanel cruise collection will be presented in Dubai

SINGAPORE - Karl Lagefeld derived inspiration from Singapore's colonial cricket-playing past for 2013's Chanel cruise collection, showcased right on our tiny island.
This time round, the much-anticipated 2014 collection will be presented in the fashion heart of the Middle East, Dubai.
On May 13, 2014, Dubai will be the stage for the fashion house's cruise runway show.
Although specific details like the venue have not been announced, the fashion world is already in a tizzy, speculating about what Lagerfeld will do to top the recent Chanel haute couture extravaganza in Paris and Metiers D'Art spectacle in Dallas.
Will the models ride upon camels on a sand-littered runway wearing the floaty kaftans and perhaps accessorised with Lagerfeld's signature fan?
More importantly, what will the guests wear in May in Dubai when temperatures can soar over 47 degrees Celsius!
