Chow Yun Fat's wife quashes online rumours of his death, says he's 'alive and well'

Chow Yun Fat is alive and well, his wife Jasmine Tan said, quashing rumours that he had succumbed to an unnamed illness.

A photo circulating online this week showed a 'news broadcast' of the 62-year-old actor's supposed demise.

The digitally altered image showed a female news presenter announcing that he had died in Hong Kong, as well as a photo of the veteran actor in his "God of Gamblers" role.

Tan promptly rubbished the 'report' on Tuesday (Dec 5) and told Hong Kong media that her husband is in good health and taking a break at home.

Chow, who is known for his unassuming ways, said that he would donate his fortune to charity after his death.

Tan, a Singaporean, recently opened up in an interview about how the pair lost their unborn daughter in 1991 due to umbilical cord strangulation.
