<p>BENEDICT Cumberbatch's schedule is about to get busier.</p>
<p>The Star Trek villain is director Guillermo Del Toro's choice to play scientist Victor Frankenstein in an adaptation of the Mary Shelley novel, reported the Daily Telegraph.</p>
<p>Del Toro, whose robots-versus-monsters flick Pacific Rim is in theatres now, is already due to direct Cumberbatch, 36, in haunted house film Crimson Peak next year.</p>
<p>Sherlock star Cumberbatch played Frankenstein in a 2011 theatre adaptation in London by Danny Boyle. Then, he alternated the role and that of Frankenstein's monster with fellow British actor Jonny Lee Miller nightly.
