Cumberbatch to lend voice to Madagascar movie

Benedict Cumberbatch is putting his smooth, baritone voice to good use.

The 37-year-old Brit, who's already voicing Smaug the dragon in The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug, is going to be in a new Madagascar movie spin-off.

The Penguins Of Madagascar puts the mischievous birds in the hot seat and Cumberbatch will play a high-ranking CIA agent in hot pursuit of the penguins.

Joining him is John Malkovich, who will voice the movie's villain.
