Demi Lovato marks 6 months of sobriety: 'Best day ever'

Demi Lovato marked the sweet success of being six months sober last Saturday, Jan. 26.

The "Sorry Not Sorry" singer received a slice of funfetti cake from her team which had the number 6 on top in chocolate chips.

A message on a card beside the cake said, "Happy 6 mo. We are so f*cking proud of you! Love, Team DL."

"Best day ever," Lovato said in her Instagram Stories.

She shared another picture on her Stories, this time of a keychain with "Six Months" in gold.

Last July, Lovato was hospitalised for a reported drug overdose. She entered a rehabilitation facility after the incident and reportedly left in November.

While the singer and actress has been open about her struggles with addiction, an eating disorder and mental health, she told fans last December that she was not ready yet to share her recent experience.

In March 2018, the singer and actress announced that she was six years sober. On June of the same year, she released the song "Sober" to recount her relapse.
