Leonardo DiCaprio (inset) as Anakin Skywalker?
Nope, we can't imagine it and neither could the US actor.
Which is why he turned down the chance to play the anti-hero protagonist of the Star Wars prequels, a role that eventually went to Hayden Christensen.
DiCaprio, 41, said in an interview with ShortList magazine: "I did have a meeting with (Star Wars creator-director) George Lucas about that (movie), yes. (I) just didn't feel ready to take that dive. At that point."
Other high-profile parts that DiCaprio has passed on include Robin in Batman Forever and Peter Parker in Spider-Man. But he is still open to playing a superhero in the future.
He said: "You never know. They're getting better and better as far as complex characters in these movies. I haven't yet. But no, I don't rule out anything."
