Action movie star Donnie Yen officiating at the opening of Swiss watchmaker Hublot's largest pop-up store in the world at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza yesterday.
At 7m tall and occupying about 1,000 sq m, the pop-up store showcases limited-edition watches exclusive to Singapore as well as works of art at a specially curated accessory bar.
Hublot has created a "Red Dot" Bang timepiece, partly to commemorate Singapore's Golden Jubilee. Fifty of the timepieces have been produced in a unique metal alloy case that combines magnesium and aluminium.
Another 10 pieces have been made in a yellow gold case as a tribute to the material's role in watchmaking history.
The pop-up store's interactive displays will also take visitors on a virtual journey of the stories behind Hublot watches' design, innovation and craftsmanship. It will be open daily from 10am to 9pm until Aug 26.
