Name: Emily O'Hara Ratajkowski
Born: June 7, 1991, London, UK
Filmography: Gone Girl (2014)

1) CLAIM TO FAME

If you're not a music person and wonder what all the fuss is about this lass, besides her bee-stung lips and sexy bod, then you may have been one of the few people in the world who did not see Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines music video.

Prancing around Thicke in only platform shoes and a nude-coloured thong made the then unknown actress-model of Polish, Irish and German descent a global phenomenon.

2) GETTING GONE GIRL

Though signed to Ford Models at age 14, the Southern California-raised Ratajkowski always wanted to act. She went for a "cattle call" audition in New York for the part of Andie Hardy in David Fincher's Gone Girl.

The drama, starring Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike, is about a husband who becomes the prime suspect in his wife's disappearance.

According to Ratajkowski, two days after the audition, she was on a plane to Los Angeles to read with Affleck in front of Fincher. "Two hours later, they called to tell me I got the part," the 23-year-old told New York Daily News.

It turned out that Fincher and Affleck were two of the many viewers who had watched Blurred Lines.

3) KISSING AFFLECK

Playing Affleck's mistress meant getting intimate with the actor. On NBC's Today show, the curvaceous brunette said the experience was "surreal", especially since she had grown up watching the actor.

4) OKAY WITH NUDITY

Baring it all on the big screen, music videos or the countless magazine shoots is no big deal. She told the New York Daily News: "I've always been comfortable in my body.

I have a really great mum who told me never apologise for the way you look or for your body.

"You're a woman and that's something you should celebrate and not feel uncomfortable with."

5) NEXT CHANGE

She has scored her first lead role opposite Zac Efron in We Are Your Friends, which is set in the world of electronic music and Hollywood nightlife. Efron plays the aspiring DJ Cole working on what he hopes will be his first hit track.

Ratajkowski is Sophie, who is torn between Cole and boyfriend James (Wes Bentley).

The drama will be out next year.
