KUALA LUMPUR - Hollywood superstar Will Smith was apparently spotted in Kuala Lumpur yesterday, though the purpose of his visit remains a mystery.

A photo of Smith greeting fans at Mid Valley Megamall has been circulating on local social media but there has been no confirmation on when the picture was taken or by whom.

Daniel Henney, meanwhile, posted on his social media profile that he was arriving in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

The 36-year-old Asian-American actor and model who made a name for himself through Korean TV dramas, got his Hollywood break in 2009 when he was cast as Agent Zero in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

It is believed that Smith arrived in Malaysia on Sunday night to attend a series of meetings with iflix, an entertainment-streaming provider based in Kuala Lumpur.

When contacted, however, an iflix spokesperson had no comment.

In one of the pictures circulating on social media, Smith is seen walking with his business partner James Lassiter, iflix group CEO Mark Britt, and iflix chairman and Catcha Group co-founder and group CEO Patrick Grove.

Coincidentally, Smith's former musical partner DJ Jazzy Jeff was also in Kuala Lumpur for the official launch of Prime Touch Luxury club yesterday.
