Jacqueline Wong in money trouble following cheating scandal?

She may have 'escaped' to Los Angeles but it appears that Jacqueline Wong's woes are far from over.

This time, the TVB actress is rumoured to have trouble paying HK$40 million (S$7 million) in compensation to those affected by her affair with Andy Hui.

Jacqueline's once promising career is now in shambles -- her roles in two dramas have been replaced and multiple endorsement deals have fallen through.

Although the broadcaster tried to placate affected advertisers by recasting artists in shows, overseas shoots and public appearances, it may not be enough.

According to Ming Pao, some companies are seeking over HK$10 million in damages over advertisements that had to be shelved following the scandal.

These include clothing and contact lens brands that Jacqueline had endorsed.

TVB is also rumoured to have asked the actress for an HK$30 million compensation for the reshooting of drama series "Forensic Heroes IV" and "Finding Her Voice."

Hong Kong media even speculated that money woes may even drive Jacqueline to file for bankruptcy.

But TVB executive Virginia Lok has denied these rumours.
