KUALA LUMPUR - After a successful run in South Korea, the cast of Jersey Boys the musical arrived here yesterday.
Jersey Boys will be showing at Istana Budaya from April 15 to April 27.
"It is a powerful musical with extraordinary music that will offer Malaysian audiences a phenomenal experience that cannot be explained in words," said Grace Lee, managing director of Milestone Production, the organiser here.
Jersey Boys is based on a true rags-to-riches story of four Italian-Americans who became one of the most successful pop groups - Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.
The four - Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi - started out in the club circuit in New Jersey before hitting it big.
The musical will feature 19 actors and 33 songs from The Four Seasons and Frankie Valli catalogue.
The group had hit songs such as Sherry, Big Girls Don't Cry, Rag Doll, Oh What A Night and Walk Like A Man. Valli had his first solo hit with Can't Take My Eyes Off You.
Portraying Valli is South African Grant Almirall.
Ticket prices range from RM200 (S$77) to RM680.
