Jesseca Liu loses laptop, pleads for its return

Lost something? Who you gonna 'call'?

Instagram.

At least that's what actress Jesseca Liu did when she misplaced her laptop last night (July 10).

In an Instagram post on Thursday (July 11) morning, she put out a call to the public, asking them to contact her if they happened to find her laptop.

She wrote that she lost the laptop on the way home from her friend's house at Block 650, Jalan Tenaga.

She said: "I'm not sure if it dropped because I left it on the roof of my car.

"If anyone finds it, please contact me or my company."

Jesseca has made a police report as well.

IT'S BECAUSE OF A SCRIPT

Speaking to Lianhe Wanbao, the 40-year-old explained that she had been working on a script for a long time and it was saved on the laptop.

She seemed quite anxious and added: "The script had just been completed and I brought it to my friend to have a look so she could provide some art direction.

"But when I reached home, I realised that the laptop was gone."

Jesseca also revealed that she had been working on the script for a year and it had gone through many iterations before it was finally completed.

The only copy of the script is on the laptop so if it's truly missing, it would mean that she has lost a year's worth of effort.

If you have any information on the laptop, you may reach Jesseca or her company at 6478 0660.

OTHER CELEBRITIES WHO HAVE LOST THINGS

Jesseca isn't the only local celebrity to have misplaced something recently.

Actress Jeanette Aw lost her phone in June while vacationing in Greece.

If that wasn't bad enough, imposters started popping up on social media and messaged her fans to appeal for donations to charity.

The 39-year-old was alerted by her fans, prompting her to put up an announcement on Instagram.

On a more light-hearted note, actor Thomas Ong left his car door open for two hours in April but quipped that nothing was stolen because "this is Singapore".

"I am forgetful in nature and am afraid of forgetting something every day," he told AsiaOne at that time.

Some things he has forgotten before include his house keys, wallet, phone and even his passport.

In fact, he has lost his passport several times.
