Kai uses Facebook to vent on break-up

Taipei - Looking drawn and moody, actor Kai Ko was the target of the Taiwan media at a charity dinner at the Shanghai film festival on Saturday night.

The Taiwanese was single again after last week's news that his two-year romance with Elva Hsiao, 34, has ended, but he said, "I always feel good".

The 22-year-old, who earlier walked the red carpet for his film Tiny Times 3, would not say more.

But last week's talk that he cheated on Hsiao after being snapped with his arm round a long-haired woman, seemed to have hit him hard, said Apple Daily.

That episode appeared to have blown over when the woman, named Tracy, denied being his girlfriend.

But he was fingered again when someone whose name rhymes with Ko's was revealed on Facebook to have blasted Hsiao for acting like a victim in a broken romance.

"Because (I) cheat on you, you can't record your sad song? Clever! How come reporters don't know when I broke down while acting? How long are you going to play victim of a love cheat?" went the allegation on the secret Facebook page, which was later closed.

Reports had said Hsiao was not herself recently while recording a song, Dare To Hurt. Rumours of trouble in their relationship had peaked in April and the couple had not been in touch after quarrelling in a nightclub on May 1.

Ko's manager did not help things, saying that the actor was upset and sought a release on Facebook.

By Sunday, fans had turned on Ko's dad Eric Ko, telling him off on his social media page over his son. Ko senior, however, retorted: "What's wrong with letting off steam on a private space?", but added, "There has to be a reason for this".

Ko's manager added: "Kai has loved and been hurt."
