Kids take centre stage at River Safari's first trick-or-treat event

SINGAPORE - Little monsters and super heroes ran amok at River Safari's first trick-or-treat event, Safari Boo, to celebrate the American holiday of Halloween.

Over 2,000 visitors from kids to even grandparents got in the ghoulish spirit and came dressed up in their wildest costumes on the opening night on Oct 22.

Ms Isabel Cheng, Chief Marketing Officer of Wildlife Reserves Singapore, said they were thrilled with the turn out which was three times higher than they had expected.

She said: "Safari Boo gives little ones and adults a chance to showcase their artistic flair with creative costumes for a night of merriment."

The ticketed event features animal presentation on creepy crawlies and interactive games.

There are discovery stations where kids and their families can uncover animal bones to solve mysteries.

The braver ones can even feel around for unique body coverings to find out what threatens these animals.

Visitors can go down to River Safari on Oct 25 to 26 and Nov 1 to 2 to join in the festivities taking place from 6pm to 9pm (last admission at 8pm).

Children 12 years and below will enjoy free entry.

Kids who turn up in costume will stand a chance to win in the Halloween best-dressed contest.
