Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun donates 11 tonnes of rice to charity

Actor Kim Soo-hyun has donated rice to the Salvation Army, according to the charity on Wednesday.

The Army said, “Kim Soo-hyun donated 11.1 tons of rice at a charity event held at Seoul Plaza on Tuesday.”

The rice was sent by Kim’s global fans. It includes 520 kilograms of rice sent to SBS’ soap “My Love from the Star,” 730 kilograms of rice to mark Kim’s seventh anniversary of debut and 9.85 tons of rice delivered to the press briefing of KBS soap opera “The Producers.”

The 27-year-old actor and his fans have so far donated 20 tons of rice to the poor since 2012.

The donations will be delivered to people in need nationwide, according to an official of Salvation Army.
