Kris Aquino returns to Singapore for more medical tests

MANILA, Philippines - Queen of all Media Kris Aquino, with her youngest son Bimby, headed to Singapore to undergo more medical tests.

A video posted on her Instagram on Sunday shows her at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 holding hands with her son as fans take the opportunity to photograph them.

The short clip was accompanied by a rendition of Celine Dion's "Because You Loved Me" as performed by Mark Bautista.

In a separate post, Aquino opened up about her disease and wrote in detail about the state of her health.

She started off her post with a quote: "Stay strong, make them wonder how you're still smiling."

In her post, Aquino said she was flying to Singapore "for more tests to determine why i have symptoms & blood test results seeming to confirm 2 autoimmune disorders SLE (a form of Lupus) and Thyroiditis" as well as undergo a "drug/medicine challenge test."

"Everything, especially those needed in any emergency procedure or operation and for post op care, will be tested with an emergency medical team on standby. Only after i get through that will i do my other tests," she added.

In October 2018, Aquino flew to Singapore to undergo medical testing, which indicated that she was suffering from an autoimmune disease.

The multimedia star said that she decided to write about her disease and open up about it as she could still "vividly recall how courageous my mom was when stage 4 cancer was her diagnosis."

Her mother, former President Cory Aquino, passed away on Aug. 1, 2009 after battling colon cancer.

"i am not typical, and i choose to reveal ALL rather than have half truths & lies spread about me," she said.

She then ended her post with the words: "nothing added & nothing subtracted. #mytruth."
