Leven Rambin plays mean girl in Sea Of Monsters

WHO'S THAT GIRL

This curvy blonde with bee-stung lips and a tonguetwister of a name hails from Houston, Texas.

WHERE YOU'VE SEEN HER

Men may remember her super-hot lingerie photos in Maxim magazine. To movie-goers, she's Glimmer, the beautiful but nasty District One tribute from The Hunger Games (2012).

WHY HER

The 23-year-old received two daytime Emmy nominations for her work on popular US soap opera All My Children, where she played lookalike half-sisters for six years. She continued on the TV route by appearing on Grey's Anatomy, Wizards Of Waverly Place and One Tree Hill.

Of course, The Hunger Games introduced the former child star to a wider audience, and that's where director Thor Freudenthal became a fan and cast her in Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters, which is now showing here.

WHAT'S NEW

Rambin takes on another mean girl role in Sea Of Monsters as the aggressive Clarisse, the demigod daughter of the Greek god of war, Ares.

Besides hurling insults at our hero Percy Jackson (Logan Lerman), Clarisse joins the quest to bring back the Golden Fleece, an enchanted rug that can revive a tree that protects Camp Halfblood, home of all demigods.

QUOTED

On calling herself a weird person who never fit in

"I'm from Texas but I don't like beer, I don't like tailgates, I don't like hot dogs and I don't eat ribs or BBQ."

On being typecast as a mean girl

"It's like this is the theme of my career. That might say something about me. I guess I'm kind of a b****, but I'm a nice one. I'll tell it to you straight. I'm not one of those girls who is all soft-spoken."

On being nasty to co-star Logan Lerman

"I was really degrading Percy to his face. Finally I stopped and said, 'Sorry, Logan, that I am being so mean.' And he was like, 'No, man, it's great. Punch me in the face if you want to. Whatever it takes.' So I didn't hold back."
