M1 partners Deezer to offer unlimited music

SINGAPORE - M1 Limited (M1) has announced an exclusive partnership with global music streaming service, Deezer. The collaboration with Deezer enables M1 postpaid mobile customers to enjoy unlimited access to more than 30 million songs from international, Asian and local artistes such as Bruno Mars, Jay Chou, Yuna and The Sam Willows. This service will be available from Dec 17, 2013.

As a launch promotion, Deezer will offer its Premium+ service to M1 customers at a special price of $5.99 a month. This exclusive offer is valid for a maximum subscription period of six months and only available to M1 customers who sign up by Jun 30, 2014. Deezer's Premium+ service, usually priced at $9.90 a month, offers unlimited access to its extensive music library in enhanced sound quality and is available in either online or offline mode, with no interruptions from advertisements.

Deezer's Premium+ can be enjoyed on up to three devices, including iOS and Android-based smartphones and tablets, computers and M1's MiBox Internet TV service. Exclusive content and recommendations are also available to customers, and customers can pay their Deezer Premium+ subscriptions through their M1 bills, removing the need for credit card payments.

"The launch of this service further enhances M1's suite of mobile content and applications. We will continue to collaborate with partners to deliver innovative and compelling products and services for our customers," said Mr P. Subramaniam, Chief Marketing Officer of M1.

"Singaporeans have always been music lovers, but have recently turned into bigger fans with easier access to legal and unlimited music. This is echoed by the tremendous interest and uptake in our services since we launched in Singapore last year, which will continue to grow through the partnership with M1," said Mr Clément Gossé, Business Development Manager for Asia Pacific, Deezer.
