Personal trainer crowned Cleo Most Eligible Bachelor 2016

SINGAPORE - Personal trainer Imran Nedunchelian has been crowned Cleo's most eligible bachelor for 2016.

"I'm honoured to be given the title of Cleo Most Eligible Bachelor 2016. Taking part in this contest was a challenge to myself - to step out of my comfort zone and try something different," said Imran, 26, who walked away with more than $4,000 worth of prizes.

Into its 21st year, the signature annual event for Cleo Singapore - the best-selling local magazine for young women published by SPH Magazines Pte Ltd - showcases talented, successful and charismatic men in Singapore.

The finals party was held at Zouk last night, where family and friends of the contestants showed up to celebrate the event and cheer on their favourites.

The event also crowned four subsidiary award winners.

UFM100.3 radio presenter/producer Brian Low Wei Loong, 27, won the award for Freshest Face, while 25-year-old graphic designer Derrick Wee took home the award for Most Stylish Bachelor.

The two other subsidiary awards went to 25-year-old undergraduate Benny Tan, who was crowned the Sexiest Bachelor, and 28-year-old ONE FM 91.3 radio personality Shaun Tupaz, who nabbed the award for Hottest Life of the Party.

Tupaz said: "I wanna say a big thank you to my ONE FM family and my mum, who has always told me to do my best in everything."

Tupaz is certainly the "hottest life of the party" when he's hosting AsiaOne's Party Girl on ONE FM 91.3 every Thursday morning.

Both ONE FM 91.3 and UFM100.3 are stations of SPH Radio.

Kit Chua, associate editor of Cleo Singapore, said: "It was a lot of work and a tough decision, but the entire Cleo team is proud to call Imran our Most Eligible Bachelor for 2016.

"To us, he embodies the values that a Bachelor should have - he is gallant, charming, hard-working, modest, and he isn't too hard on the eyes, either! The subsidiary award winners are also equally deserving in their own way, and we hope that - on top of the prizes they've received - everyone who participated walks away with awesome memories that will last a lifetime."

The winner of Cleo Most Eligible Bachelors 2016 was decided by Cleo Singapore, taking into account the results of a vote amongst readers at www.cleo.com.sg.
