The Art of Collecting
Sept 14 to Dec 31
Fort Canning Centre
Prepare to journey through 500 years of art history as prestigious works by the likes of Botticelli, Rembrandt, Van Dyck, Monet, Renoir, Modigliani and Picasso are exhibited in Singapore for the first time.
Marc Restellini, director of Pinacothèque de Paris, doesn't believe in focusing on just one particular period within an exhibition space - the way that most museums show their collections.
He prefers what he calls "Transversality" - putting on display pieces from different eras so that they come alive from the timeless and border-less "dialogue" that they create with each other within the room. Not to be missed.

Dude, Where's My Food?
Sept 17 to 21
Artichoke, 161 Middle Road
Artichoke's Bjorn Shen celebrates F1 with a one-off menu of "dude food" - the kind that your mother told you not to eat.
Feast on sticky wings with Red Bull glaze, feta cheese ranch dressing and charred corn salsa; grain-fed ribeye with Coca-Cola caramel and sriracha pretzel coleslaw; waffles with smoked salmon, wasabi pea crumble, Jim Beam sour cream and honey; and crunchy Indomee salad with smoked soft-boiled egg and bar nuts.
Then wash it all down with a selection of local and craft beers.

Hidden Finds Market
Sept 20 to 22
TripleOne Somerset Level 16
Public Garden stages a special-edition, guerillastyle pop-up market in a vacant office unit in the heart of Orchard Road. Hidden Finds Market will feature more than 100 vendors, including TINKR, a new local 3D printing outfit that will demonstrate the technology. Shoppers can have 3D statues of themselves made there.
The place will also be dressed up by mt tape, a Japanese company that uses print-and-pattern masking tape as decorations.
There will also be a gourmet section with Oriole Coffee, Butter Studio and Smitten Micro Bakery offering baked goods and fresh gourmet coffee prepared on the premises.

Amber Lounge
Sept 21 and 22
Temasek Reflection (next to Millenia Towers)
Want to be where the sound of champagne bottles being uncorked is louder than the roar of the engines of the F1 cars and where the drinks flow faster than the time Sebastian Vettel takes to finish a lap? Then Amber Lounge is the place to be.
This year's event, marking the party concept's 10th anniversary, will kick off with a fashion show featuring Frederick Lee's haute couture collection. Performers include John Martin, who has collaborated with Swedish House Mafia, and Taboo of The Black Eyed Peas.
