Second concert for S'pore leg?

Bruno Mars fans have snapped up so many seats for the US pop star's The Moonshine Jungle Tour here in March that a second concert may even be added to satisfy demand.

Concert promoters Live Nation Lushington are getting feedback via an online poll on the Sports Hub website on whether fans want a second performance added to the tour.

When The New Paper checked the Sports Hub website last Friday, five categories of the March 26 concert, with ticket prices ranging from $128 to $188, were sold out.

Only tickets priced at $268 and $328 were still available.

A Lushington spokesperson said that the decision about the second night's show "will not be made till much later", and that they may take more than a week to announce a second date if there is one, due to the festive season.

The Hawaiian-born singer-songwriter, 28, who signed with Atlantic Records in 2009, became a worldwide sensation following the success of his top hits Just The Way You Are and Grenade, both of which he co-wrote.

The song Just The Way You Are even won Best Pop Vocal Performance at the prestigious Grammy Awards in 2011.

Ms Linda Tan, who could not get the Bruno Mars sold-out mosh pit tickets, said: "I like his songs but I am not a super big fan, so I wouldn't mind paying $168 to stand in the mosh pit."

The marketing executive, 26, said: "If there is a second night, I'll most probably buy the tickets. It's nice that the organisers might add a second night though. I hope they do."
