S.H.E.'s Ella Chen welcomes baby boy

Taiwanese singer Ella Chen welcomed her first child, a baby boy, with her husband on Wednesday (April 12).

According to Apple Daily Taiwan, the 35-year-old had a water birth and was accompanied by her husband and S.H.E. bandmates of 16 years Selina and Hebe.

Chen's record company HIM International Music confirmed the good news, thanking fans for their well-wishes and saying that mother and child are doing well.

Last Friday (April 7), a heavily pregnant Chen posted a video clip of herself baring her belly and doing an energetic dance on her Facebook page.

The cheeky singer also hashtagged the video with #strongestpregnantwomanonearth and #thisistheresultofregularexercise.

Chen, who said in an earlier interview that she will be a fun-loving and crazy mum, also has plans for more children in the future.

Godmum Selina also shared a video clip on Weibo last Sunday, demonstrating that she was ready for some baby swaddling duty.
