Sing! China judge Harlem Yu announces his remarriage after his co-judge spills the beans

TAIPEI - Sing! China judge Harlem Yu announced his remarriage on Saturday (July 30), after co-judge Na Ying spilled the beans at a live event, said Apple Daily.

Yu, 55, and newscaster Jinny Chang, 41, whose romance came to light in October last year, have quietly registered their marriage in Taipei, said the report.

He said in a statement: "For me, this is a very important thing. Originally, we wanted to keep the feeling of happiness to ourselves and not disturb everyone. But thank you for your attention."

He was at a Sing! China event on Saturday with co-judges Na, Jay Chou and Wang Feng when Na blurted out: "You're almost getting married," said Apple Daily.

A stunned Yu looked down, said the report.

Reached by a reporter, his agent denied the singer's marriage plans. But Yu later released a confirmation through his agent.

It is the singer's second marriage. His first marriage to singer Annie Yi ended in divorce in 2009. They have a 14-year-old son. Yi, 47, welcomed a daughter with her current husband, actor Qin Hao, 38, last month.
