Is it Heritage Month for Mandopop?

Because Taiwanese superstar Jay Chou and 'Heavenly King' Andy Lau have announced their concerts in Singapore.

Jay will be performing in January next year and Andy will be performing in September.

Talk about a blast from the past - yes, even 27-year-olds can reminisce about the 'good old days'.

But if they're a little out of your age range, Chinese singer-songwriter Li Ronghao will also be gracing our shores with his presence too in October.

Considering the demographics that these artistes naturally appeal to, AsiaOne is taking a tongue-in-cheek look at the type of fans you'll find at each of their concerts.

ANDY LAU: YOUR PARENTS, PROBABLY FROM THE MERDEKA GENERATION

As one of the four Heavenly Kings, alongside Aaron Kwok, Jacky Cheung and Leon Lai, you've definitely heard of him growing up.

Or maybe on the weekends when your parents would play his classics on the LaserDisc (LD).

Too young to know what LDs are?

That should give you an idea of who will be attending Andy's concert.

If you're expecting a more boisterous audience, banish that thought immediately because we're willing to bet that most will remain seated and politely bop to the rhythm instead.

After all, they paid good money to see their legend in action and they will make sure they get their money's worth.

The most provocative thing one can expect would probably be for an auntie to yell 'Andy, we love you!' while being serenaded by his performance of Wang Qing Shui (忘情水).

This could even be a great gift for Father's Day. You're welcome.

JAY CHOU: THE OLDER MILLENNIALS WHO LIKE TO THINK WE AREN'T MILLENNIALS

Burning the midnight oil and listening to Jay's songs on repeat - now that's a memory that many of us won't forget.

Can you believe it's been 19 years since his debut? Because we can't even.

Look, we're not saying that we're old, but we're not saying that we're young either.

And we will always flock to every concert of his because even after two decades, he is still every bit as talented and relevant.

Besides, it's basically a two-hour karaoke session for us 'old millennials'.

Who you'd find at his concert would probably comprise the entire spectrum of millennials- owing to the fact that he has probably amassed a younger fanbase through the ages.

You might find both the screaming fangirls and boys; and those who just want to enjoy an awesome display of showmanship without glass-shattering shrills next to them.

LI RONGHAO - THE 'REAL' MILLENNIALS WHO ARE ALWAYS BLAMED FOR BEING ONE

He may not be a young star in terms of age, but 33-year-old Ronghao shot to fame only in 2013 after winning the Golden Melody Award for Best New Singer.

So it stands to reason that his fanbase is relatively young even though he's reportedly dating Taiwanese singer-actress Rainie Yang, who comes from Jay's 'era'.

With his youthful looks, it's also not hard to see why he would appeal to a younger group of fans.

If past experiences with young crowds are anything to go by, you can expect plenty of screaming fans who will sing along and wave just to get his attention.

Just imagine a K-pop concert or a Nick Jonas concert.

However, we have heard from our colleagues that their parents are fans too so this may even be one for the family to enjoy.

If those three aren't enough, it's also been announced that Taiwanese acts Wu Bai and Crowd Lu will also be coming later in the year.

Taiwanese singers Lala Hsu, A-lin and Rachel Liang will also be holding a joint concert in October.

So many concerts, so little time (and money).

But that just means more choices for fans.
