Songstress Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin said one of the biggest challenges in her life was trying to conceive a child, reported Kosmo!.
Siti Nurhaliza, who is now mother to five-month-old Siti Aafiyah, said that she and husband Datuk Khalid Mohd Jiwa tried for 11 years for a child.
“I tried everything to get a child, modern medicine, traditional ways, and lots of prayers. I had to also stop working while pregnant and that was one of the sacrifices I had to make,” she said.
She said that she was grateful that her wish for a child was finally granted and added that the Hari Raya Haji celebration yesterday was more meaningful due to the presence of her child.
“For this year, I was able to share my earnings (rezeki) and distribute korban (sacrifice) to a few places.
“And this year is special because I can provide a few sections (of the korban) for Siti Aafiyah,” she added.
