PETALING JAYA - Popular songstress Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin's Instagram account was flooded with well wishes after she posted the first picture of her and her new baby daughter.

As of 6.15pm yesterday, the post of her and her baby in profile had garnered over 500,000 likes.

"Alhamdulillah...thankful that your patient wait has led to sweet happiness....congrats Dato'ctdk," wrote kaira_nabila.

Another Instagram user, who went by the handle tripjalanjalanbyayna wished both the mother and daughter well.

The picture was taken from Siti Nurhaliza's back and showed her and the baby, who has been named temporarily as Fatimah Az Zahra, in profile.

Since giving birth on Monday, the 39-year-old pop diva from Pahang, who has waited for more than 11 years to be a mother, had asked for time and space before showing her daughter to the public.

A viral pix of Siti Nurhaliza with a baby has since been dismissed as fake.

She had also warned netizens to not be fooled by fake Instagram accounts made under the name of her newborn daughter.

Since the birth of the new child celebrity, there have been more than 10 accounts made on the social media platform using the newborn's name and Baby CTDK as usernames.

"My husband and I and our child wish to thank everyone who has congratulated and prayed for us - no matter where they are - Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Brunei.

"To all our artiste friends, thank you for your wishes and thoughts. Alhamdulillah, my child and I are in good health.

"The doctors and nurses are taking good care of us," she said on Instagram.

For the time being, she said the doctors were only advising her to have a good rest.

Since posting the picture on Instagram on Wednesday night, the post had received over 500,000 likes with many comments of well wishes from her fans.

Siti Nurhaliza and her baby girl were discharged from Gleneagles Hospital in Kuala Lumpur today.

In a video uploaded on Instagram around noon by Siti’s manager Rozi Abdul Razak, the well-loved songstress said: “I would like to express my utmost thanks to the staff at Gleneagles – the doctors and nurses, and everyone involved in taking care of me and my baby throughout our time here.”

The video also showed Siti, her husband Datuk Seri Khalid Mohamad Jiwa and her newborn getting into a car, ready to leave the facility.
